We host think + drink / science from 7 to 9pm on the second Wednesday of each month. The program opens as the day’s expert begins the evening with a presentation then we open the floor for discussion during this interactive webinar on Zoom.

“The Sarasota Manatee EcoFlora Project: A Worldwide Conservation Effort Locally”

With more than 2,000 native plant species in Florida, many are rare, understudied, or endangered and actively need conservation. The Sarasota Manatee EcoFlora Project aims to help protect and understand our native flora, monitor invasive species, provide information to scientists worldwide, and engage the public in citizen science. Join a talk by Sean Patton, iNaturalist of the Marie Selby Botanical Gardens EcoFlora Project, to learn from a scientist how you can participate in citizen science and join the project with only a smartphone or camera.

think + drink/science is sponsored by WUSF, a corporate partner of The Bishop.
