At The Bishop

Eligible members of The Bishop’s Discovery Society are invited to join us on July 18 for a special evening celebrating the Apollo 11 mission that took man to the surface of the moon. The evening will include moon-themed light bites, moon-related activities for all ages, images from the mission and a special opportunity to use a solar scope to view the sun.

The evening’s highlight will be a special program in The Planetarium that will recreate the excitement of the human endeavor that allowed us to walk on another world for the first time in history. We’ll fly you out of Earth’s orbit and land you on the moon!

You’ll see what the astronauts saw during that historic and unprecedented mission of human achievement before we splash you back down on Earth. The program will include footage and audio from the actual mission!
