During think + drink / science, the day’s expert begins the evening with a presentation then we open the floor for discussion.

October 14: “An Introduction for Florida Geology,” with Guy “Harley” Means, Florida Geological Survey

Join us on Zoom as we host Harley Means, of the Florida Geological Survey as he introduces us to Florida’s Geology during a virtual think+drink / science. Florida is not generally thought of as a place where geologic wonders can be found.  There are no mountains, canyons, volcanoes, or glaciers, but Florida does have some unique geology that is equally interesting.  Join us and learn about some of Florida’s unique geologic features and the processes that shaped them.  The presentation will be followed by Q&A.

  • When: 7pm Wednesday, October 14 on Zoom
  • Cost: $3 for members of the Discovery Society; $5 for all others
