Our monthly think + drink / science program transforms The Planetarium into a forum of discussion where you can grab a beer, glass of wine or a soft drink and learn about science in a relaxed, informal setting. The day’s expert gives a short presentation then opens the floor for questions and discussion.
- $5 for eligible members of the Discovery Society; $8 for all others.

- Seating: Seating is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis; please arrive promptly. Pre-purchased program seats will be held until 5 minutes prior to program start time ONLY, at which time they may be released for re-sale (no refunds or exchanges will be given after the start of the program).
Dec. 11: People of the Great Circle
Charlotte County artist and historian Ted Ehmann researched 112 years of anthropological research and theories of the Woodland Period mound building cultures in south Florida. New research and the inclusion of other models showed bias in previous studies, as well as the revelation that the Calusa and Mayaimi were unique cultural phenomena and were exceedingly significant in world prehistory.
