Spring 2024 Homeschool Science Days Programs

Get excited to learn more about dinosaurs and their descendants (birds). From tooth and claw to beaks and bills, experiment with both to learn why the mighty T-Rex is no more and ducks and other birds have adapted to take over the land, sky, and sea.

Archeology and Forensics are more similar than you might think.  Discover more about the Native Americans and their ancestors and use tools from the founding collection of our Museum to become a “Bishop Archeologist.”

Learn about Florida’s animals and how they are uniquely adapted to thrive in their ecosystems while comparing them to similar animals in different global settings. Visit exhibits that allow you to get closer than ever to these creatures and their features.

Travel beyond the speed of light and learn how scientists use the electromagnetic spectrum to discover more things about nebulas and galaxy clusters. We will use the Planetarium at The Bishop to explore how stars and planets are born before moving through time and space all the way to the edge of the observable universe while discovering what we know and don’t know about gravity and black holes. Join us as we find our place in space.
